Rebuild the mind through the body.

Built Different helps at-risk boys and men heal from addiction and trauma. We use fitness as the way in. From there, a coach, a community, and real support carry them forward.

The body leads. The mind follows. Rebuild one, and you rebuild both.

Why We Exist

A generation of boys and men are facing addiction, trauma, and isolation alone. We meet them where they are and help them rebuild, one rep, one relationship, one day at a time.

The Problem We Exist To Solve
80%
of U.S. suicides are male
20M+
Americans in active addiction
30–50%
depression reduction through exercise
40–60%
lower relapse with peer support
Our Approach

Fitness is the front door. Belonging is what keeps them.

Men in addiction are rarely reached by a waiting room. So we go to where they already are: the gym, the field, the trail. The training builds the body. The coach, the team, and the routine rebuild the rest.

What We Run

Programs that meet them where they are.

Prevention, intervention, and community. Every program is built around the person, with fitness as the way in.

Athletic Mentorship
Youth

Athletic Mentorship

We match at-risk boys with adult mentors who show up every week, training together and talking honestly about life, goals, and accountability.

Gym Scholarships
Recovery

Gym Scholarships

Men in recovery get a funded membership and real support: an orientation, a training partner, and a community that keeps them coming back.

Rites of Passage
Prevention

Rites of Passage

Multi-day outdoor experiences give boys 13–19 challenge, mentorship, and belonging, before the wrong things fill that gap.
